Abstract

An acoustic transducer (microphone) has no mechanical diaphragm and the oscillating air molecules of sound waves are ionized to form plasma enabling electrical voltages to be modulated. The plasma is produced by laser, Townsend ionization, microwaves, high frequency, corona discharge, glow discharge or high voltage pulses. An independent claim is also given for a loudspeaker.
Schallwandler (Mikrophone) ohne mechanische Membran. Dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass schwingende Luftmoleküle (Schallwellen) ionisiert werden (Plasma). Dadurch kann eine elektrische Spannung moduliert werden.
